In addition to traditional Indian clothing, some types of yoga pants, yoga shirts, and tunics may work. Palazzo pants, harem pants, scarves, big gold or silver jewelry, belts or other accessories. Plus any hats, turbans, fez hats, vests. Any drape-y, flowy fabric; tops, bottoms, scarves, skirts, dresses. Specific Indian garments include Salwar Kameez, Sarees, cholis, Kurtas If you have something but you're not sure if it works, drop it off and we'll see if we can use it. Just be sure everything is labeled so we can return it to you. The show has town/peasant scenes where we'll want dull colors and then palace/parade/celebration scenes when we'll want lots of brilliant color, "sunset colors" which include vibrant colors like Reds, yellows, oranges and pinks. A note for the actors. You are responsible for providing your own modesty clothing and shoes. leggings, tank tops or camis for girls, t-shirts, athletic shorts for guys. Black, gray, beige, brown, any dull, solid color. Shoes:. bring in strappy sandals or slippers that will stay on your feet. For girls, maybe ballet slippers; Royals can have fancy, sparkly flats; Guards in black boots or black dress shoes. Few others with short black boots also is fine. Magicians (in the cave), provide your own black pants and shoes and white button down shirt with a collar suitable for a bowtie. More to come, please bring items in on Friday night or Saturday. If you're not sure something will work, drop it off. We will have to incorporate some less traditional pieces as well as traditional, so we want lots to choose from.
