Mr. Todd here. I just wanted to remind everyone how important our 4 rehearsals are before we start the holiday break. During these rehearsals,we will be running the show, cleaning up numbers, COSTUMING, finishing up sets, working with props, etc. Please be at all these rehearsals. Friday, 12/16 from 6-9pm: Run the show on the full stage with the risers, steps, set pieces and props , as well as costuming!!!! (NO crew, but full cast) Saturday, 12/17 from 10am - 1pm: Repeat of the above, focusing on the end of the show and COSTUMING!!!! (Crew as assigned) Monday, 12/19 from 6-9pm: FIXES, Stage Finale and Curtain Call and COSTUMING and SETS!!! Tuesday, 12/20 from 6-9pm: RUN THE SHOW and COSTUMING WEATHER ISSEUS: If there is inclement weather, we will adhere to the school system's closing notices. If the schools are open, we will rehearse. Hcpss.org does post weather-related closings on the weekends. FYI. During holiday break, we ask that you review lines and blocking, choreo and songs. That week will be a great time to get, borrow or find needed costume pieces, modesty garments, shoes, as well as make-up (base, blush, eye liner, lipstick). When we get back from break, we will have 8 rehearsals until we open! Thus the importance of making all of these rehearsals as well as the 4 listed above. It is crunch time, people. Student actors should come ready to work with focus, positive energy and quiet voices (except when singing).:) We will be adding more and more elements to include lights, audio, props and more so we need full cooperation and respect and caring. The show is looking great, but we need all the pieces to come together. This truly is a team effort! Thank you. Best, Mr. Todd Hello actor and crew families! We are pulling together costumes for the show and would love to have lots of items to choose from. If you have any Indian or Persian style clothing you are willing to loan, please bring it in labeled with your student's name. Plus..
In addition to traditional Indian clothing, some types of yoga pants, yoga shirts, and tunics may work. Palazzo pants, harem pants, scarves, big gold or silver jewelry, belts or other accessories. Plus any hats, turbans, fez hats, vests. Any drape-y, flowy fabric; tops, bottoms, scarves, skirts, dresses. Specific Indian garments include Salwar Kameez, Sarees, cholis, Kurtas If you have something but you're not sure if it works, drop it off and we'll see if we can use it. Just be sure everything is labeled so we can return it to you. The show has town/peasant scenes where we'll want dull colors and then palace/parade/celebration scenes when we'll want lots of brilliant color, "sunset colors" which include vibrant colors like Reds, yellows, oranges and pinks. A note for the actors. You are responsible for providing your own modesty clothing and shoes. leggings, tank tops or camis for girls, t-shirts, athletic shorts for guys. Black, gray, beige, brown, any dull, solid color. Shoes:. bring in strappy sandals or slippers that will stay on your feet. For girls, maybe ballet slippers; Royals can have fancy, sparkly flats; Guards in black boots or black dress shoes. Few others with short black boots also is fine. Magicians (in the cave), provide your own black pants and shoes and white button down shirt with a collar suitable for a bowtie. More to come, please bring items in on Friday night or Saturday. If you're not sure something will work, drop it off. We will have to incorporate some less traditional pieces as well as traditional, so we want lots to choose from. Thanks for your contributions to the show! Sonja and Shannon Hello Cast and Crew-
